San Francisco is a city with a really interesting past. I love finding out about the meaning of the street names, the legends of the Barbary Coast, or who Lefty O’Doul was.

Enter Sparkletack. Richard, the site owner, is fascinated with all things San Francisco, and likes to share it with all of us. He has about 60 excellent podcasts, about everything from where the street names come from to the early days of San Francisco, to the people that make up the local lore. You can listen to the podcasts at the website, as well as on iTunes. While he hasn’t released a podcast recently, he is constantly updating his site with relevant information. They are really fun to listen to, and give you a whole new way to look at the City.
